Hot dip galvanized sheets

Salzgitter produces a whole range of hot dip galvanized sheets starting with the basic grades DX51D – DX7D, through sheets such as HX180BD, HX180YD, HX220BD and HX640LAD and up to multi-phase steel sheets such as HCT780CD or HCT980XG. The sheets are produced according to both EN norms, as well as VDA 239-100.

The produced in Salzgitter hot dip galvanized StronSal® sheets constitute a non-standard solution for anti-corrosion protection in the automotive industry. These innovative hot dip galvanization coatings with proportionate contents of aluminum and magnesium have a few advantages in comparison to the conventional coating. An outstanding protection against corrosion decreases the thickness of the coating without sacrificing its capacity. The perfect processing properties of StronSal® increase the capacity within the stamping division. For this reason, StronSal® is better than the conventional coatings not only in the functional, but also in the economical and ecological aspect.

StronSal® is designed for every application in strongly corrosive environments within the automotive industry. This mainly concerns the parts, where the anti-corrosion protection is particularly meaningful on the edges.
